Honda Odyssey 2011 Hybrid

honda odyssey 2011 Hybrid

When the original Chrysler Voyager was launched in the mid-80s, it created the Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV) as we know it today, a vehicle with seven or eight seats that drives like a car. It was such a hit that it sent all car manufacturers, including the Japanese and Europeans, back to the drawing boards to develop their own MPV models.
Twenty years on, with almost every carmaker having its own interpretation of the Voyager, Chrysler has had to continually upgrade its MPVs to maintain a lead in the segment that it created. The present Grand Voyager is the second-generation model and was launched in the late 90s. It had an exterior facelift two years ago, and this year it gets the revolutionary ‘Stow n Go ‘ seats.

2011 Mini Countryman Cooper S Test Drive

August 1st, 2010 · No Comments

2011 Mini Countryman

Hamburg, Germany-Insisting that the new Mini Countryman is not an SUV nor even a small crossover, the engineers at BMW have nonetheless emphasized both off-road ability and people/cargo-hauling utility to give Mini a more family-friendly and spacious offering. Back in the ’60s, the original Mini Countryman was a wood-sided station wagon with only two doors, so the new four-door is the first such to wear the name. The new model, coming to America as early as next year, is not only longer but also taller and notably wider than the Mini Cooper Coupe, Cabriolet and Clubman models in dealerships today. By also expanding on feature offerings—including access to Web radio and other features via an iPhone link and Mini-specific app—and on personalization via paint and interior choices, the Countryman maintains Mini’s hipness factor even as it makes room for child seats and trips to Costco.

Audi Unveils Sleek New A7 Sportback in Munich

July 28th, 2010 · No Comments

Audi A7 2011

Audi is most likely hoping that the world’s motorists will yield to the tempting lines of the A7 Sportback, which fills the gap between the A6 and the flagship A8. Looking very much like the Sportback concept car that Audi introduced at the Detroit auto show in 2009, the A7 Sportback belies its hatchback configuration with long curving lines, a round nose, a low silhouette and a tapered rear that slants forward in a manner that Audi designers describe as reminiscent of Italian cars of the 1960s. The lightweight body, Audi says, includes the use of “numerous aluminum components” in its construction.

2011 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid to be Same Price as Gasoline V6 Version

July 26th, 2010 · No Comments

2011 Lincoln MKZ

We’re about to find out if car buyers prefer superior fuel economy or power. Ford has announced that its  2011 Lincoln MKZ hybrid will be priced at $35k, the same as the regular gas-powered V6 MKZ. According to the EPA numbers, the hybrid will get a combined MPG of 39 while the V6 will get a combined 21 MPG. That’s a significant improvement, and while horsepower is lower, the low-end torque of the electric motor can compensate for that in many situations. Read on for more details and photos.
